Forty-five elementary age girls, pizza, cupcakes, nail polish, beads, markers, stickers… what better way to spend a Friday night?
We had a blast at Girls’ Night last weekend! MBC Bethesda’s Kindergarten – 5th grade girls and their friends came together for an evening of building friendships while growing in Christ. The girls enjoyed manicures, jewelry making and crafts while meeting new friends. Though everyone looked beautiful with their colorful nails and new accessories, we topped off the evening by taking time to learn about God and the importance of having beautiful hearts. Focusing on the truth that ”people look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7, NIV) and the story of why David was chosen to become king, we learned about difference between what God values and what people often value.
Much thanks to the Jovanovics for opening their home for this event, as well as the moms and Kid’s Quest volunteers who helped everything run smoothly!
Be on the lookout for future Girls’ Nights… and of course a Boys’ Night coming soon!
